I am Ivana Basnight, an Associate Broker with Prudential Towne Realty. Since 1979, I have provided uncompromising service in helping people buy and sell property and love working with "Senior Citizens". I provide end-to-end service by working as a team with a moving company, cleaning service, handyman, financial advisor, attorney, and other professionals to make your transaction easier. Whether downsizing to a condominium, retirement community, or even assisted living, I have the information and expertise to help you make an informed "Smart Move".

I specialize in the sale of fine homes and waterfront properties. As a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), I can provide all services needed to make your transition smooth.

A List of Awards and Accomplishments
Graduate Realtor's Institute in 1981. I was licensed as a "Broker" in 1986. I have served as a member of the Hampton Roads Real Estate Association Grievance Committee and am currently on The Professional Standards Committee. I am also a member of the Circle of Excellence Awards Committee and have been for several years. I have received the Distinguished Sales and Marketing Award, the 2004 Circle of Excellence Platinum Award, and the Prudential Chairman's Circle Award.

In 1992, I was the recipient of the Realtor Salesperson of the Year. I have achieved the Gold, Diamond, Platinum and Emerald Awards for the Circle of Excellence status for ten, fifteen and twenty years. I am a multi Gold recepient for yearly successes in MY real estate career and have also received the the Hampton Roads Real Estate Association 2003 Code of Ethics Award, the 2004 Circle of Excellence Award, the Prudential Chairman's Circle Award, the Emerald Longevity Award, and multi Gold Recipient.

Civic Activites and Accomplishments
I am an active member in the Virginia Beach Court Docent Program familiarizing myself with the State and Federal Law governing Medicare and Medicaid benefits for the elderly.

Charitable Organization Volunteer
I have devoted much time to the American Heart Assoc., the American Cancer Society, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and numerous church organizations like "Meals on Wheels" and a Hospice Volunteer. 

Sports and Hobbies
I have a natural ability for competetive ballroom dancing and playing the piano. She has won national awards for her accomplishments in this area. As a member of the Princess Anne Country Club, I enjoy golfing with my husband.

Married to W. Brantley Basnight III
He is a senior partner in the law firm of Wolcott, Rivers, Gates, P.C. My husband has also been a substitute Judge since 1973. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a Fellow in the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and has also been a Commissioner on the Virginia Beach Development Authority.
